Like many artists Kasparec started creating art at a young age, however it was not until he was 24 that he revisited painting in a serious fashion. He likens this resurgence “ like coming back to an old love”. In 2004, Kasparec studied professional oil painting techniques in Paris and later on, figurative courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Kasparec’s paintings draw inspiration from his travels around the globe, and explore his interest in fauna, flora, light and representational painting. His different body works have in common the conceptual exploration of human consciousness. They are characterized by the juxtaposition of spirituality, surrealism, and magical realism.
